Abstract
The pistol of type 64 has been fading out of people’s sight. Yet its modified versions are still found in civil society. Because of the modifications with various means and techniques as well as the dissimilar parts, there are differences from the normal counterparts at both the patterns and positions of marks left by the shot bullet-heads and cartridge, bringing difficulties to investigators. However, these marks can play their effect in identifying the relative guns involved in cases. Here, we describe such a case. Through marking a shell hook with color and testing the shell with homemade primer which was fired by the examined non-systematical type 64 pistol, we confirmed that the examined shell was indeed shot by the examined non-systematical type 64 pistol, providing an example to identify the fired gun with the abnormal mark left on shell hook.关键词
