Abstract
A Digital Detail Enhancement(DDE) method is proposed and simulated in order to overcome the low contrast of infrared image. Firstly, erosion and dilation as well as average filtering are used to eliminate the shot noise. Secondly, the low frequency image is obtained by average filtering, so as to extract the detail image. Then the weight of each pixel is calculated to get the histogram with weight for detail image. At last the histogram equalization with power series change is implemented to reduce the effects of background. Simulation results show that the method proposed can get good performance under different scenarios and needs less resource for hardware implementation due to its low complexity. Therefore, it can be applied commercially.关键词
