Design of a Ku-band TE11-HE11 smooth-walled converter
摘要
Abstract
The-traditional-TE11-HE11-mode-converter-usually-consists-of-a-section-of-circumferentially-corrugated-waveguide-with-varying-slot-depth,which-is-likely-to-bring-about-microwave-breakdown-due-to-the-machining-burrs-at-high-frequencies.-In-order-to-avoid-this-defect,-the-smooth-walled-waveguide-with-radius-gradually-changed-is-utilized-for-achieving-the-conversion-based-on-the-coupled-wave-theory.-A-15-GHz-TE11-HE11-mode-converter-constituted-by-sin-profile-and-parabola-profile-is-designed-by-numerical-calculation.-It-is-testified-by-electromagnetic-simulation-software.-The-simulation-results-are-in-good-agreement-with-the-numerical-calculation-results.-The-bandwidth-of-the-designed-mode-converter-is-above-1.2-GHz,-and-the-relative-bandwidth-is-about-8%,-and-the-conversion-efficiency-at-15-GHz-can-reach-98.5%.关键词
