Cultural Meaning of Nijiaochui in Huaibin and the Mud Dog in Huaiyang
摘要
Abstract
The Nijiaochui in Huaibin and the Mud Dog in Huaiyang are both the clay sculpture artwares with very special national fea-tures.According to research, Huaibin and Huaiyang both belong to the ancient Huaiyi area, included in Dongyi and Liangyu groups in primitive tribes which used the sun and bird totem as their worship. But, the creation of contemporary Nijiaochui in Huaibin and sand mound nagao terracotta birds as the representative in Early Longshan culture are from the same strain, which are primitive, quite simi-lar in form and spirit. However, the creative forms and cultural connotation have had a greater change in contemporary Mud Dog in Huaiyang.关键词
