Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Bakri uterine tamponade with balloon catheter in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage and summarize the application experience. Methods Clin-ical data of 64 patients with postpartum hemorrhage undergoing Bakri uterine tamponade with balloon catheter were retrospectively analyzed. Clinical characteristics were summarized to evaluate clinical effect of Bakri uter-ine tamponade with balloon catheter in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage and application experience was accumulated. Cases of bleeding reduction without the requirement of undergoing any other treatment were de-fined as successful treatment. Results Sixty-four patients were enrolled in this study. The causes of postpar-tum hemorrhage included uterine inertia,hemorrhage from the stripping surface of placenta and placenta im-plantation. The success rate of postpartum hemorrhage treatment was 94%. Among four patients with treatment failure,three had placenta implantation. Conclusions Application of Bakri uterine tamponade with balloon catheter is a simple procedure,which can observe the quantity of bleeding in a real-time manner,effectively treat postpartum hemorrhage and reduce the amount of hemorrhage. Placenta implantation may be one of rea-sons resulting in treatment failure.关键词
