Optimal Ordering and Transfer Policy for Perishable Items with Display Area Inventory Level Dependent Demand
摘要
Abstract
This paper deals with an ordering-transfer inventory model to determine the retailer ’ s optimal ordering and shipping quantity .The retaifer has two kinds of inventory , namely warehouse inventory and display area in-ventory .The retailer orders from the supplier periodically .Only part of the items ordered from the supplier is stored on the display area , and the rest is stored in the warehouse .In addition, it is assumed that the amount of display area is limited , and the demand rate is dependent on the display area inventory level .The algorithms are developed to find the optimal strategy of the retailer .Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the models developed and the sensitivity analysis is also reported .关键词
