Abstract
There’s an internal coupling among the Flipped Classroom, MOOCs and the Open University. With the distinctive characteristics and advantages, the Flipped Classroom can not only help deepen the Open University ’s connotation but also develop its extension. MOOCs, whose characteristics are similar to those of Open University, can help improve the effectiveness of teaching. However, the successful application of the Flipped Classroom and MOOCs into Open University requires motivated learners and teachers as well as certain conditions on teaching materials, time and space. A Tai Chi Quartet Nest Model, with the combination of the Flipped Classroom and MOOCs, is proposed. Based on a variety of teaching methods, blended with formative evaluation, the model effectively contributes to the development of the Flipped Classroom and MOOCs in the Open University, helps improve its teaching quality and guides the overall development of the learners ’ abilities.关键词
