Abstract
In order to effectively improve the efficiency of satellite bandwidth and transmit the CDMA signal with 2MHz bandwidth on the satellite transponder with 1MHz bandwidth, China Telecom carried out the on-site verification tests in several cities. Three technologies were tested respectively on the existing equipment including time slot drop and insert, carrier superposition and higher order modulation used for CDMA emergency communication vehicles. The test projects include subjective voice quality and call time delay of CDMA voice services and the actual throughput rate of CDMA data services. The results show that three technologies can satisfy the expected requirements of compression rate. Therefore, China Telecom can use satellite bandwidth compression on CDMA emergency communication vehicles to meet the demands of the current networks.关键词
