Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between blood glucose levels in patients with gestational diabetes and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Methods 60 GDM patients were selected as the abnormal blood sugar levels group, while another 60 parturients with normal blood glucose at the same period were selected as the normal blood sugar levels group. The primary outcome was a record of the childbirth of the two groups, in which the adverse pregnancy outcomes were screened. Results Polyhydramnios, pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, cesarean delivery, and postpartum hemorrhage in the abnormal maternal glucose levels group were significantly higher than those of the normal blood sugar levels group. The incidence of fetal distress, macrosomia, neonatal hypoglycemia and neonatal asphyxia of the abnormal blood glucose levels group was significantly higher than that of the normal blood sugar levels group (P <0.01). Conclusions The high blood sugar level in the GDM patients increases the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes as well as the risk for mothers and children. Positive comprehensive treatment and care should be applied to the patients, and patient's initiative should be emphasized. And the patients should be supervised and encouraged to effectively control and improve their blood sugar levels.关键词
