Abstract
Floating-head heat exchangers are widely used in engineering.Since the floating-head is not connected with the shell-side cylinder, the thermal stresses are not concerned in the design of floating-head heat exchangers.A finite element model was established for a slurry oil steam generator which was a typical floating-head heat exchanger.Stresses at the tubesheet were calculated under the action of the tube-side pressure, shell-side pressure and temperature difference respectively.Effects of the tubesheet thickness were investigated.It is found that for a thick tubesheet,the stresses at the tubesheet induced by thermal difference may be larger than those produced by pressures.Therefore,for a floating-head heat ex-changer,if the tubesheet is thick,the thermal stresses cannot be ignored.关键词
