摘要
Abstract
Objective To discuss the effectiveness of application of carotid ultrasonography in diagnosis of TIA (Transient Ischemic Attacks). Methods Altogether 100 cases of TIA patients were selected as TIA Group. Meanwhile, 60 healthy physical examinees were selected as Control Group among those who had been examined during the same period. Both groups undergone carotid artery ultrasonography examinations on SCA (Sub-Clavian Artery), CCA (Common Carotid Artery), BIF (Bifurcations) , ECA (External Carotid Artery), ICA (Internal Carotid Arteries) and VA (Vertebral Artery) so as to compare the incidence and features of carotid plaques in different regions. Results ①. The incidence of plaques in TIA Group (76%) was higher than that in Control Group (26.67%). The plaques on the left side in TIA Group was obviously more than the right side. ②. Soft plaques (46.05%) were frequently seen in TIA Group; while, hard (43.75%) and flat plaques (31.25%) were frequently seen in Control Group. ③. Most of the plaques were seen in the BIF of carotid arteries in TIA Group. While, no obvious differences were found in the incidence of plaques in different regions in Normal Group. ④. CDFI (Color Doppler Flow Imaging) revealed the existence of narrowing areas and filling defect areas of color blood flowing in TIA Group, which indicated the un-smoothness and plagues in the intima of carotid arteries. Conclusion Carotid ultrasonography could clearly reflect the conditions of carotid atherosclerosis and assess the blood supply of the brain from carotid arteries, which was of great significance in diagnosis of TIA as well as other types of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases.关键词
