摘要

Abstract

Effects of five kinds of heavy metal stress on seed germination and seedling growth of Trifolium repens andT. pratensewere studied by germination test, aimed to provide a reference for the study of the applications ofTrifolium in heavy metal contaminated soil. The results showed that Haifa (a cultivar ofT. repens)andT. pratensehad better tolerance to Cd2+ and Mn2+, than to Pb2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+.They had over 80% germination rate under the III grade standard concentration of Cd2+or under 800 mg·L-1Mn2+, and the seedlings still maintained good vitality.High concentration of heavy metal ions stress had significant inhibition on the growth of embryo and hypocotyl, andT. pratensehad better germination rate than Haifa. These two species ofTrifoliumcould be applied for Cd-Mn contaminated soil restoration.
