Abstract
Cotton fabric is comfortable to wear, but it has poor thermo- stability and is highly flammable. Accordingly, flame retardant cotton fibers or fabrics have been extensively studied. Nowadays, environmental sustainable materials have been paid increasing attentions. Because the organic phosphorus- based flame retar⁃dants get wide- source, low- cost and good flame retardance, they have been widely used in the textile and plastic resin fields. The mechanism, the classification and development of flame retardant for cotton fabrics in recent years were discussed from the point of environmental protection. Meanwhile, the development pro⁃spective of organic phosphorus- based flame retardant for cotton fabrics was outlooked.关键词
