摘要

Abstract

The antitussive effects of different extracts from Celtis bungeana Bl are studied in mice using ammonia in-duced cough model. The analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of these extracts are studied using dimethyl-benzene-induced auricle swelling model, acetic acid induced mouse writhing model and hot-plate experiment. The results show that Celtis bungeana Bl extract fractions of petroleum ether and n-butanol can obviously prolong the la-tent period and reduce the times of mouse coughing induced by aqueous ammonia. But ethyl acetate extract has no significant effect on the latency period of cough and cough frequency compared with the control group. Among vari-ous extracts, the n-butanol extract is the best, which can relieve mouse aurical swelling caused by xylene and can reduce the writhing frequency in the hot plate experiment of mice. Petroleum ether and n-butanol extract fractions can significantly improve the pain threshold in hot-plate experiment. The ethyl acetate extract shows no significant effect compared with the control group. It is concluded that various Celtis bungeana Bl extracts have anti-inflamma-tory effect and analgesic effect on peripheral pain, the main effective fractions are petroleum ether and n-butanol ex-tracts, which show favorable antitussive effect and analgesic effect on central pain.
