摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of carboxymethylcellulose sodium eye drops on the age-related cataract patients with dry eye after phacoemulsification. Methods A total of 106 patients underwent operation (129 eyes) with age-related cataract referred to our hospital from December 2013 to February 2014 were enrol ed in the study. Patients were randomly divided the treatment group and control group. The treatment group was received carboxymethylcellulose sodium eye drops therapy. Tear break-up time, cornea fluorescein staining were measured, as wel as subjective symptoms were graded before and 1d, 1w, 1m after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Results The subjective symptoms were worse, tear break-up time was shorter, and cornea fluorescein staining on epithelium was more commonly seen post-operation as compare to pre-operation. The subjective symptoms grade and tear break-up time were stil abnormal in the control group 1m post-operation ( <0.05). However, the subjective symptoms grade, tear break-up time and cornea fluorescein staining on epithelium 1w post-operation was similar to that pre-operation conditions ( >0.05) , and al the post-opertation index were bet er in the treatment group than that in control group ( <0.05). Conclusion The carboxymethylcellulose sodium eye drops could ef iciently relieve the symptoms of dry eye and maintain the tear film stable for the patients underwent phacoemulsification.关键词
