Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Blue and red light combined with spironolactone in the treatment of female adult acne.Methods 62 female adult patients with mild to moderate acne vulgaris who attended the dermatology outpatient of First People's Hospital of Chun'an were selected,and given blue and red light therapy combined with oral spironolactone.Comedones and inflammatory lesions (papules,pustules and nodules were considerd as inflammatory lesions) were countd at baseline and 4 & 8 weeks post therapy,respevtively.Visual analogue scale (VAS)of disease severity were recorded at baseline and 8 weeks post therapy.Results A mean improvement of 44.56% ( =25.89, <0.01) and 50.47% (=25.40, <0.01) from baseline in comedones and inflammatory lesions were achieved 4 weeks post therapy;and a mean improvement of 65.90%(=33.14,P<0.01)and 77.45% (=28.15, <0.01)were achieved 8 weeks post therapy,respectively.After 8 weeks'therapy,VAS of disease severity decreased 35.70%(=18.76, <0.01)from baseline.Conclusion Blue and red light combined with spironolactone were highly ef ective in the treatment of female adult acne of mild to moderate severity.关键词
