Abstract
Objective To estimate the expressions of RhoA and microvessel density (MVD)in squamous carcinoma of the cervix (SCC), cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and normal cervical epithelium (NCE) and evaluate the possible mechanism in the invasion of cervical carcinoma. Methods In 16 NCE cases,20 CIN cases and 50 SCC cases, immunohistochemical S-P method had been used to examine the expression levels of RhoA and CD34. Results ①The expression level of RhoA was significantly higher in SCC than in CIN and NCE ( <0.001, <0.001). ② The MVD was significantly higher in SCC than in CIN and NCE ( <0.001, <0.001). ③ In comparison to stageⅠSCC, the expression levels of RhoA and MVD in stageIIwere significant difference ( <0.01;<0.01). In comparison to G1 SCC, the MVD and the expression levels of RhoA in G3 had significant dif erence ( <0.05;<0.001). In comparison to the without lymph nodal metastasis group, the expression levels of RhoA and MVD in SCC with lymph node metastasis group was no significantly different ( >0.05;>0.05). The expression levels of RhoA in more than 35 years old was higher than in less than 35 years old, there was significant dif erence( <0.001), but MVD was no significantly different in the two groups( >0.05). Conculusion RhoA might be a key role in the invasion and metastasis of squamous carcinoma of the cervix. The increase of microvessel density is closely related to the progression of tumor. Their levels maybe act as clinical referential indexes in the progression of cervical carcinoma.关键词
