Abstract
Objective To investigate the ef ects of oral contraceptive pil (OCP)pretreatment in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)undergoing control ed ovarian hyperstimulation(COS)for IVF-ET(in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer).Methods 100patients with PCOS undergoing IVF-ET were randomized divided into group A(n=55),who received OCP pretreatment before cycle and group B (n=45),who did not received OCP.A retrospective analysis of the data of the patients was car ied out for the assessment of the ovulation promoting ef ect of OCP pretreatment and the influence on the incidence of OHSS and IVF-ET results.Results The formation of ovarian cyst was significantly decreased in group A ( <0.01).Compared with group B,the duration of gonadotropin stimulation and the gonadotropin consumption were both increased in group A ( <0.05).The ratio of ovium was increased in group A (92.85%versus 87.92%, <0.05).But no significant dif erences were observed regarding on the proportion of patients who developed OHSS,the number of retrieved oocytes,fertilization rate,miscar iagerate and clinical pregnancy rate.Conclusion OCP pretreatment in patients with PCOS could help the doctor to control the time of ovarian stimulation ef ectively.It may improve the synchronism of fol icular development,though the duration of gonadotropin stimulation and the gonadotropin consumption were significantly increased in OCP pretreatment group.OCP pretreatment did not change the incidence of OHSS of medium degree or above.关键词
