Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical ef ect of tension-free repair operation in the treatment of elderly cases with inguinal hernia.Methods According to the operation mode 114 elderly cases with inguinal hernia in our hospital were divied into two groups,57 cases in each group,cases in control group were taken traditional Bassini or Mcvav repair treatment,cases in observation group were taken tension-free repair treatment,observed the operation index and complications,fol owed up to observe the recur ence.Results The average operation time,amount of bleeding,ambulation time and hospitalization time were lower than cases in control group,the recur ence rate was 3.5%,significantly lower than that in control group (17.5%),there was significant dif erences of observation index between two groups ( <0.05).The rate of complications of cases in observation group was 5.3%,significantly lower than that in control group (24.6%),there was significant dif erence between two groups ( <0.05).Conclusion Tension-free repair operation is an ideal surgical treatment for inguinal hernia in elderly,suitable to be used widely in basic level hospitals.关键词
