Application of PBL Teaching Method in the Training of the Nurses

Abstract
Objective To explore the application ef ect of problem-based learning (PBL) to general nursing training. Methods The Instrument for Measuring the Clinical Decision-making Ability of Nursing Students was adopted to investigate 98 nusers who took part in the general nursing training. 60 of them with the scores between 70 and 80 were selected by stratified sampling and divided into EG (Experiment Group) and CG (Control Group). PBL were applied to EG while the common teaching method to CG. By the end of the sixth month, their decision-making abilities were measured again. Results The overal mean score of clinical decision-making ability of the EG after the training was higher than before the training and the dif erence was significant ( <0.01). After the training, the overmean score of the EG was higher than that of the CG and the dif erence was significant ( <0.01). Conclusion The application of PBL to the general nursing traning can improve general nurses' clinical nursing decision-making ability.关键词
