Abstract
Objective To explore the nursing methods in the treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) combined with chemotherapy.Methods 82 patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma were divided into observation group (n=42) and control group (n=40).The patients in observation group were treated with IMRT combined with chemotherapy and the patients in control group were given the treatment of conventional radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy.The adverse reaction and toxicity were observed weekly,and the appropriate nursing measures were implemented before and after treatment, such as psychological care, skin care ,mouth and mucous membranes care ,diet care ,care for bone mar ow suppression and functional training .Results In control group,skin reaction,oral mucositis and xerocheilia were more severe than that in observation group ( <0.01);there were no significant dif erences in the comparison of nausea、vomiting、leucopenia between the two groups (>0.05).Conclusion It can reduce the normal tissue damage and incidence of complication and improve patient's quality of life to adopt close observation on adverse reaction and toxicity and ef ective treatment combined with comprehensive nursing care in application of IMRT and chemotherapy to the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.关键词
