Abstract
Objective To explore the ef ects of two posture fixation methods-breast bracket and vacuum pad-on the setup er or of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) of the breast cancer. Methods Case-control study was adopted.Breast bracket fixation was adopted in Group A while vacuum pad fixation was adopted in Group B.After the initial therapy,CBCT scan was performed once weekly.Setup errors of al directions were obtained through online registration and artificial proofreading.And the er ors between the two groups were compared.Results The mean setup er ors on the left-right direction,superior-inferior direction and anterior-posterior direction were (3.28±1.83)mm,(2.94±2.21)mm and (2.63±1.79)mm in Group A,and the cor esponding errors were (2.06±1.25)mm, (2.13±1.33)mm and (2.52±1.68)mm in Group B. Er ors of the two groups had significant dif erence ( <0.001)on the left-right direction and superior-inferior direction.However,there was no statistical significance on the anterior-posterior direction ( >0.05).Conclusion Vacuum pad fixation is bet er than breast bracket fixation in er or control,which can improve the positioning accuracy of the patients,shorten the time of placement,and is more suitable for clinical use.关键词
