Abstract
Photodynamic therapy is a new and ef ective technique for cancer treatment, it includes photodynamic diagnosis and photodynamic treatment. It has been applied to many fields. 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy is demonstrated to be more safe and ef ective than other photodynamic therapy. The treatment indication has been enlarged in recent years. PDT is safe and ef ective, and produces excel ent cosmetic results with few adverse ef ects. PDT is used commonly to treat precancerous cel s, sun-damaged skin, and acne. It has reportedly also been used to treat other conditions including inflammatory disorders and cutaneous infections. This review discusses the principles behind how PDT is used in dermatology, as wel as evidence for cur ent applications of PDT.关键词
