Abstract
Alice Monroe, a Canadian woman writer, was famous of short fiction in Europe and America. She received numerous awards. In October 2013, she was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. It regarded her as a “great master of modern short sto-ry”. This is mainly because of serious themes and unique style of Monroe’s works, but also thanks to her narrative strategy. Through outstanding narrative strategy, such as specially dilute storyline, flexible use of narrative, clever transform story rhythm, and elaborately create a suspense story, Monroe’s works coruscate the elegant demeanor of delicate concise, naturally, exquisite and elegant, which give a person with a strong shock as “listen to the thunder in the silent”.关键词
