基于 VRRP 的网络鲁棒性研究
Research of network robustness based on VRRP

Abstract
Owing to the fact that single point of failure is the most common problem in local area network,an effective mechanism of redundant backup is proposed necessarily which achieves uninterruptible communica-tion between internal hosts and external network. In this paper,the method of router redundant is studied, the concepts and working mechanism are introduced,the message structure and state machine are analyzed. On the basis of this study,a simulation network environment of VRRP is designed,RIPv2 is configured to interconnect local area network and external network. The experiment shows that the fast switching for the state of master router and backup router maintains the normal communication betwween internal hosts and ex-ternal network under the failure of breaking a router port. Consequently,the method of router redundant can eliminate single point of failure for loacl area network and improve the robustness of network.关键词
