摘要
Abstract
“Academic Strategy:The Management Revolution in American Higher Education”written by George Keller is a representative book prompting using strategy management in modern university administration. One basic clue throughout the book is the interaction between Academic strategy and school-running environment of universi_ties. Because of the school- running environment changing from close to open,universities have adopted strategy management actively in order to deal with survival crisis. Being focused on the external environment is one of its fundamental characteristics in strategy management,which emphasizes coordinating school and changing external environment being the key point. To make a strategy plan,the analysis of external environment needs to be consi dered,which focuses on three factors:challenges and opportunities brought by developing tendency of external en_vironment,the orientation and tendency of market,and challenges and opportunities brought by the competition sit_uation. By making a scientific strategy plan,universities can adapt the environment changes positively to get sur_vived instead of dealing with intense competition of external environment negatively. What’s more,universities can realize the developing situation and go beyond the restriction of environment,hence achieving long-term develop_ment in the changing environment. Universities in China should analyze the specific influence of external environ_ment,then to make proper strategy plan to seize developing opportunities and gaining bright future.关键词
