Abstract
Objective To compare the effectiveness of multifidus muscle gap approach and traditional posterior transpedicular screw system internal fixation in thoracolumbar fracture. Methods 42 patients with single segment tho-racolumbar fracture without nerve compression symptoms from Jan. 2010 to May 2013 were treated by multifidus mus-cle gap approach and traditional posterior transpedicular screw system internal fixation respectively. Results Duration of operation,intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage were less in multifidus muscle gap approach than those in conventional posterior approach. There were no significant difference in restoration of vertebral height and cor-rection of Cobb angle between the two groups. VAS score was significantly lower than conventional posterior approach 6 months after operation. Conclusion Multifidus muscle gap approach is superior to conventional approach with sim-ple operation,good functional recovery and fewer complications.关键词
