Functional state of T cells and role of transcription factors T-bet and GA-TA3 in children with Kawasaki disease
摘要
Abstract
AIM:To clarify the functional state of T cells and the role of transcription factors T-bet and GA-TA3 in choldren with Kawasaki disease .METHODS:The patients with acute Kawasaki disease ( n=41) were enrolled as experimental group and 40 febrile children with acute upper respiratory tract infection were selected as control group .The mRNA expression levels of T-bet and GATA3, and the percentages of Th1 and Th2 cells were examined by RT-PCR and flow cytometry respectively .RESULTS:The mRNA expression levels of T-bet and GATA3 and the percentages of Th 1 and Th2 cells in Kawasaki disease group were 0.51 ±0.16, 0.38 ±0.13, (10.36 ±3.69)%and (6.46 ±2.28)%, respec-tively, and were significantly lower than those in control group [0.62 ±0.21, 0.46 ±0.12, (25.26 ±5.22)% and (16.87 ±4.35)%, P<0.05].There were positive correlations between the mRNA expression levels of T-bet and GA-TA3, and the percentages of Th1 and Th2 cells.CONCLUSION:Associated with the suppression of both T-bet and GA-TA3 mRNA expression, the function of Th1 and Th2 cells are suppressed simultaneously in acute Kawasaki disease .关键词
