Research on Planning and Operation Model for Energy Storage System to Optimize Wind Power Integration

Abstract
In order to optimize the integration of energy storage system (ESS), this paper proposed a planning and operation model for ESS, the complexity assessment of the model, and the solution algorithm. The bi-level-programming-based model combined planning issues and operation issues of different time scales together so that to search the optimal installation site and capacity of ESS. In order to solve the problem, a GA-based numerical algorithm was proposed. The simulation results on the modified IEEE 39-bus system and a province power system have verified the usefulness and flexibility of the proposed model. The optimal planning of the ESS is collected according to the results as well. The proposed model is available for different types of energy storage system and different scenarios, and will lay the foundation of the usage of energy storage system.关键词
