Abstract
Epidemiological investigation and laboratory test were conducted in three pig farms in Xiangtan City to confirm the suspected swine erysipelas outbreaks. The results showed that the suspected disease occurred mainly in June to September of warm and rainy season. Pigs of different ages and species were infected,with feeder pigs more susceptable. In this event,altogether 32 pigs in three farms were infected,including 26 feeder pigs,3 piglets and 3 grown pigs with 4 died,including 1 piglet and 3 feeder pigs. Laboratory test indicated that the main pathogen was Bacillus rhusiopathiae suis. The disease in the 3 farms wasfinally confirmed as swine erysipelas and comprehensive prevention measures were proposed.关键词
