Abstract
A cross-sectional study was carried out for large scale pig farms(over 1000 pigs per year) to learn the prevalence of porcine diarrhea in China. 407 pig farms in Jiangxi,Henan,Hunan,Sichuan and Guangxi provinces were randomly selected in the investigation. After a series of questionnaires,field surveys,feces collection and labora-tory detection,the herd prevalence was 71.99% with a negative correlation between the occurrence of diarrhea and the size of pig farms. The attack rate was 3.48%,2.4%,12.78% and 33.80% respectively in sow,fattening pigs,breed-ing pigs and piglets. Using multi-logistic regression analysis on the risk factors of diarrhea,a mathematical model of diarrhea was constructed,indicating that the occurrence of diarrhea had a close relationship with pig age,disinfection status and the temperature in delivering room.关键词
