Abstract
From 23 March,2014,goats died successively with similar clinical signs of asthma,cough,seropurulent or mucinous nasal mucus and high fever in a village in N county of Heilongjiang Province. To fi nd the cause,describe its distribution and prevent the spread of the disease,an epidemiological investigation and laboratory diagnosis were performed. The disease was confi rmed as peste des petits ruminants(PPR) according the investigation,and was caused by the introduction of PPR virus(PPRV) infected goats from S province. Five diseased animals were also identifi ed on a neighboring farm of the index farm and the other fi ve neighboring farms were proved free of the disease during the surveillance period. It was fi nally confi rmed that the event was an introduced PPRV outbreak in the province.关键词
