Abstract
Through analyzing the development processes of the law of diminishing returns over 200 years, it has discovered that the intensive phenomenon is one of the most basic phenomena in human social development. This paper offers the intensive variable theory that is characterized by intensive variables, intensive model, intensive curve, intensive parameters, as well as intensive variables application. This paper goes on to introduce that intensive variable represents the variable that the value, beneift, and bearing of natural resources can be increased by human activity, which can be indicated by the value, beneift and bearing of unit natural resources. And intensive is continuous increasing function. While diminishing returns is the state function of this increasing function. This paper emphasizes that the core of sustainable development is intensive development.关键词
