Abstract
In August 1996, Hutuo-River experienced a heaviest flood since 1963. Gangnan and Huangbizhuang reservoirs failed to dispatch floodwater because the reservoirs were dangerous and below flood design standard, therefore the flood caused emergency situation to the dam. After“96.8”flood disaster, the dangerous dams in two reservoirs were strengthened to achieve the flood design standard. Based on the actual situation and flood dispatch pattern in reservoirs,“96.8”flood dispatch scheme was simulated and analyzed. This paper proposed suitable techniques for flood dispatching in Gangnan and Huangbizhuang reservoirs to mitigate the losses from flood disasters.关键词
