Abstract
Taking river dredging and sediment removal project in south Jiangsu Province as an example, the causes of sediment deposit were analyzed, and river restoration methods were introduced. In addition, a multi-factor optimization of sediment removal at various waterways was evaluated including issues of safety, construction progress, environmental friendliness, resource utilization, government support, investment costs and payback. The results show that utilizing sediment as construction materials was the best strategy in south plain of Jiangsu province with bright marketing value and comprehensive benefits. The study results provide certain reference to sediment removal at urban rivers and contribute to application of statistical models on the selection of project schemes.关键词
