Test Assessment Method of Damping Property of Viscoelastic Damping Materials

Abstract
In order to assess the vibration reduction parameters of viscoelastic damping material prior to the acoustic design phase or the damping material developmental stage, this paper, based on the hammer-ing excitation method,establishes a flat plate test model. By introducing an average attenuation of the am-plitude for the frequency response function,the damping property of 3 types of domestic viscoelastic damp-ing materials is analyzed in different frequency bands. The results show that the proposed method based on the loss factor and average amplitude attenuation of frequency response function can quickly sort the vibra-tion damping properties of the material in different frequency bands. Moreover, using the average attenua-tion of the amplitude of frequency response function can effectively assesses the effects of the constrained damping whose energy loss mechanism is more complex,which serves as the basis for the structural design or damping materials R&D.关键词
