Anterior teeth immediate implant of periodontitis patient:survival and risk factors

Abstract
Objective:The purpose of this clinical study on periodontal patients with anterior immediate im-plant was to discuss the survival and risk factors, which affect anterior teeth immediate implant of peri-odontitis patient. Methods: In this study 186 patients were be operated with anterior teeth immediate implant. All the patient had moderate chronic periodontitis and required immediate implant therapy. Before the operation of implant, the patients received the basic periodontal therapy. The longest clinical followed-up were for 5 years. Clinical results of treatment were evaluated from clinical and radiographic standpoint. Results: More than 500 dental implants of 186 patients were placed in the sockets that the anterior teeth were extracted immediately from 2007 to 2012. The survival rate of immediate implant in periodontitis patient was 95.1% during 5 years. Nearly 80% of implant loosing happened during the first 6 months after the operation of implant. Conclusion: Anterior teeth immediate implant of peri-odontitis patient had higher risk than delay implant of periodontitis patient. Immediate implant in max-illa had higher risk than immediate implant in mandible. Inflammation was the primary risk that caused the implant loosing. According to the systemic and local conditions of the patients, the appropriate choice of operation and operation mode can effectively control failure risk.关键词
