Abstract
Objective To evaluate the functions of medical mobile applications in market, and analyze the availability and potential pro-blems, and to provide reference for medical practitioners.Methods The search for medical applications was conducted in China region of iTunes Store and Google Play Store, and the eligible applications were analyzed in the light of their functions.Results Six medical applications were concluded after screening in terms of the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, in which three of them belong to the category of integrated functions and the rest single function.Functions of the medical applica-tions involved at least one of the following elements:medicine informa-tion, medicine calculation, medicine interactions, clinical guide, medi-cine advertisement, patient′s guidance and standard range of laboratory values.Applications with single function performed better than those with integrated functions on the amount of data and information, the breadth of document literature, and the depth of contents and details.For those applications with integrated functions, YongYaoZhuShou possessed the comprehensive interpretations of drug information, YongYaoCanKao was capable to customize the local prescriptions, which individualized the prescription information and provided a rapid medicine examination, besides, JiBo, in respect of pharmaceutical directions, highlighted their legal status.Conclusion With comprehensive function and easy opera-tion, medical mobile applications provide reference to medical practitioners, however, the authority and veracity remains to be tested and verified, due to different sources of data and shortage of acknowledged standard.关键词
