Progress in research of the interaction between the steroid hormone drugs and cytochrome P450 metabolic enzymes

Abstract
Steroid hormones are mainly consisted of glucocorticoid , estro-gen, progesterone, androgen and vitamin D.The common clinical used steroid hormone drugs are mainly the derivatives or synthetic compounds of the steroid hormones.Cytochrome P450 (CYP450), a super family of the heme-thiolate proteins, plays a vital role in both the synthetic and metabolic process of the steroid hormones .However , the steroids could also influence the mRNA expression and metabolic activity of the CYP450.Consequently ,the interaction between the steroids and CYP 450 may determine the human ’ s susceptibility to many diseases such as tumour , inflammation or autoimmune diseases and can also influence the drug’s therapic effect.In this review, we introduce the recent progress in the interaction between the steroid hormones and CYP 450.关键词
