Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH)combined with external hemorrhoidectomy in the treatment of severe mixed hemorrhoids.Methods:A total of 84 patients with severe mixed hemor-rhoids,who underwent surgical treatment from Aug 2007 to Dec 2013,were randomly divided into study group(received PPH combined with external hemorrhoidectomy)and control group(received Milligan-Morgan hemorrhoidectomy).The operation time,hospitalization time,wound healing time and bleeding,anal pain,edema of anal edge,anal leakage liquid within the 72 hours after surgery were compared between the two groups.The occurrence of anal stenosis within the 6 months after the operation were also compared.Results:The operation time,hospitalization time,wound healing time in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group.The Occurence rates of postoperative anal pain,edema of anal edge anal leakage liguid in the study group were lower than those in the control group and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).Con-clusions:PPH combined with external hemorrhoidectomy is the preferred treatment for severe mixed hemorrhoids.关键词
