Abstract
Objectives To investigate the side effects in the elderly lung adenocarcinoma patients treated with EGFR-TKIs,in-cluding gefitinib and erlotinib.Methods Twenty-six elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR mutations who had re-ceived oral gefitinib or erlotinib were included in the analysis.The authors assessed the EGFR-TKIs tolerability,and evaluated the clinical course during sorafenib treatment.Results Of the 26 patients,the disease control rate was 73.1%.The most frequent ad-verse events were skin reaction and diarrhea.However,these side effects did not interruput the oral EGFR-TKIs after the symptomat-ic treatment.No other significant side effects were observed.Conclusions Gefitinib and erlotinib can be well tolerated and effective in the elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma.Closing observation and nursing care are needed for these patients to improve their quality of life during the EGFR-TKIs treatment.关键词
