Abstract
Objectives To investigate whether the comprehensive nursing intervention can reduce the incidence of elderly pa-tients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy complications.Methods We chose 122 elderly nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients in our hospital from May 2009 to January 2014 who received radiation therapy, after a simple random sampling, they were divided into observation group and control group, the observation group were given comprehensive nursing intervention, meanwhile the control group received conventional intervention, then observed the occurrence of complications after three months.Results The patients radiation dermatitis, radiation trismus, the incidence of radiation injury in the oral mucosa was significantly lower than the control group (χ2 =35.778, P<0.001;χ2 =5.002, P=0.025, P<0.05;χ2 =14.817, P<0.001).Conclusions By using sys-tematic comprehensive nursing intervention, the occurrence of postoperative complications after radiotherapy was effectively reduced on elderly patients, it could significantly ensure treatment and improve the prognosis, which had a certain clinical value.关键词
