Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of the maxillary occlusal pad appliance using three archwire making hyperbolic reed correction deciduous anterior crossbite correction,and determine an appropriate interceptive orthodontics strategy of deciduous anterior crossbite. Methods 60 cases with deciduous anterior crossbite from dental department of our hospital were randomly divided into 3 groups with 20 patients in each group, namely wire diameter of 0.016 inches Australia wire,0.018 inches Australia wire,0.5mm stainless steel wire bent hyperbolic reed.The main outcome measures were complete treatment time and after the afterburner appliance retention situation. Results Complete treatment time of 0.018 inches Australia wire group was the shortest,followed by 0.016 inches Australia wire group, and 0.5mm stainless steel wire was the longest.However,the bounce phenomenon was easily occurred in the 0.018 inch Australian wire group patients. Conclusion Application of 0.018 inch Australian wire bent Hyperbolic reed achieves the highest efficiency.关键词
