Abstract

Large fragments were controlled by hole spacing,hole array pitch,blasting method,charging ways and filling distance in open pit mine.With a open-cast molybdenum mine as an example,the blasting design is execu-ted by empirical formula,and blasting craters and industrial tests are implemented.Moreover,hole array pitch, hole spacing,charging ways,blasting method and filling distance are determined.In addition,the blasting effect is improved.One study found that it is the most effective way to improve blasting effect that millisecond blasting is simultaneously applied between holes and hole,and blasting aftershock is bigger as the millisecond blasting is a-dopted between holes and hole in final hole-array.
