摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of social support on depression in the elderly in communities and determine the role psychological resilience plays in the relation between them. Methods We selected 250 elders in an urban enterprise community in Beijing from January to March in 2014 using convenience sampling method. The Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS-30)was used to evaluate depression status;the Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS)was used to appraise social support;and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale( CD-RISC)was used to examine psychological resilience. Then we undertook correlation analysis and mediating effect analysis to determine relations between the three elements. Results The number of valid questionnaires was 224,valid recovery rate 89. 6%. The incidence of depression was 67. 0%(150/224),and the score of depression was(12. 5 ± 4. 7);the scores of social support and psychological resilience were(65. 1 ± 11. 5)and (71. 6 ±14. 5)respectively. Psychological resilience was significantly correlated with social support(r=0. 466,P﹤0. 01)and depression level(r=0. 373,P﹤0. 01);social support was also significantly correlated with depression level(r=0. 485,P﹤0. 01). Psychological resilience had mediating effect between social support and depression. The effect value was 17. 96%. Conclusion Social support plays a positive role in reducing depression in the elderly in communities,on which psychological resilience has a mediating effect.关键词
