Abstract

To investigate different types of natural fluorite ore deposits reflected by heavy minerals from various types of fluorite ore deposits, the authors summed up the statistics of the frequencies of occurrence of heavy minerals in 23 typical fluorite deposits in Zhe⁃jiang, Hunan, Hubei, Qinghai, Gguangxi, Fujian, Anhui, Xinjiang, Gansu and Hebei, analyzed characteristics of late hydrothermal flu⁃orite ore deposits, hydrothermal type fluorite ore deposits and hydrothermal filling type fluorite ore deposits. It is shown that three types of ore deposits have their respective natural heavy mineral assemblages and typomorphic mineral combinations. The results achieved by the authors show that the establishment of natural heavy mineral assemblages based on ore deposit types are of important significance for the new-round mineral exploration.
