Investigate the relationship between homocysteine and the incidence of essential hypertension

Abstract
Objective:To investigate relationship between serum homocysteine(Hcy)level and essential hypertension,to provide information and methods for clinical monitoring and early diagnosis of essential hypertension(EH).Methods:376 patients were divided into two groups,essential hypertensive group with 156 EH patients who were admitted in 2012,and control group with 220 healthy persons in 2012.Pumping 4ml fasting blood in 376 cases subjects lying quiet in the early morning state,and get serum specimens through centrifugal within two hours,then measured Hcy values with Olympus AU-680 automatic biochemical analyzer. Results: The mean Hcy value of essential hypertension group was 20.36±2.25μmol/L. The mean Hcy values of control group was 12.13±1.22μmol/L.The mean Hcy values are significantly different(P<0.01).Conclusion:Clinically detection HCY early, timely detection and treatment of hyperhomocysteinemia,have an important role in early intervention and treatment for high blood pressure.关键词
