Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of sitagliptin and metformin in treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods: 80 cases with primary obese type 2 diabetes were selected from January 2010 to January 2012.They were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group were given sitagliptin and metformin treatment,while the control group were treated with metformin.We observed for 12 weeks.We compared the fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1C),body mass index(BMI) changes of the wo groups before and after the treatment. Results:After 12 weeks treatment,the FBG,2hPG,HbA1C,BMI of the treatment group and the control group were decreased,but all of the indexes of the treatment group was more close to the ideal goal,and the gastrointestinal side effects was less.The total effectiveness of the treatment group was 37 cases(92.5% ),which was significantly higher than that of the control group 27 cases(67.5% ),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of sitagliptin and metformin in treatment of primary obesity patients with type 2 diabetes was exact,and it has hypoglycemic effect and good safety.关键词
