Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between obesity and insulin resistance in patients with newly diagnosed of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods:71 patients with newly diagnosed of type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected.They were divided into the non obese group(BMI<28 kg/m2) with 44 cases and the obese group(BMI>28 kg/m2) with 27 cases by BMI.Fasting blood sugar and insulin were detected,and we calculated the insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) and insulin secretion index(HOMA-β). Results:In the obese group,HOMA-IR,HOMA-β were higher than that in the non obese group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Obese patients with newly diagnosed of type 2 diabetes mellitus have more severe insulin resistance.关键词
