Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of nasal endoscopic operation in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic sinusitis,and to analyze its relationship with the clinical classification.Methods:76 elderly patients with chronic sinusitis were selected from January 2009 to December 2011.All of those patients were over 60 years old,and they were treated with nasal endoscopic operation.Based on the classification criteria of chronic sinusitis and nasal polyp:22 cases were typeⅠ;40 cases were typeⅡ;14 cases were typeⅢ.All the patients were given routine preoperative medication,and then treated with nasal endoscopic operation,moreover,all of the patients were followed-up regularly after operation,in order to observe the curative effect.Results:According to the Haikou criteria for evaluation of curative effect,among those 76 elderly patients with sinusitis,the cure rate of typeⅠwas 100%;the cure rate of typeⅡwas 87.5%;the cure rate of typeⅢwas 64.3%;the total cure rate was 86.8%(66/76). The curative effect ofⅠ~Ⅲtypes showed a trend of decline,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Surgery of 76 cases were successfully completed.The amount of bleeding after operation was normal,and there was no induced phenomena of primary senile disease,also without serious complications.Conclusion:the endoscopic sinus surgery is an effective method in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic sinusitis,and it is a close relationship between clinical efficacy and clinical typing.关键词
